"eet ees not a tumah"

Dr. Neurosurgeon went over mom's MRI scan and the previously-existing, tiny tumor that we had been watching (and had immediately blamed for the impaired vision) has not grown in the past two years. so we don't think we need brain surgery, yay! *big sigh of relief*

but now, on to the next problem: how can we explain (and treat) the blurry tunnel vision? we will have to wait and see. *shrug* i just thought i'd update this in the very slim chance someone read the last entry and began to get worried.

That's great news! It's strange to us to see some of the parallels between your mom and my sister-in-law. She is a Korean who owns a weave store and has been experiencing vision problems. A month ago she was diagnosed with macular degeneration. We are happy to hear that the situation with your mom is not as serious as first thought, hopefully her vision problem will be minor.

btw, We were in Indy last week and crashed dinner one night at the furlough retreat. It was neat (does anyone besides me use that word anymore?) because I was finally able to meet some of our team that Jeff met last year. We are anxious to go, but still have a chunk of support raising to do. I can only imagine how ready you are to go, especially since your support is all there!

Helen! This is wonderful news. I'm so glad for you and your mother, and I hope they can figure out what's going on with the blurry vision.

And when do I get to see you? I'll probably be leaving in about two weeks or so. :(
